Henderson Sport & Social Marks Official Opening with Grand Opening Celebration

HENDERSON, Nev. (Oct. 19, 2026) – Henderson Sport & Social celebrated the official opening of its new 180,000-square-foot sports, recreation and family entertainment destination in West Henderson with a full three-day grand opening weekend of events. The celebration brought together community leaders, venue leadership and project partners to mark the debut of the year-round indoor recreation destination.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on Thursday, Oct. 15 featured remarks from Henderson Sport & Social and KemperSports leadership, City of Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero and West Henderson Hospital CEO Chris Loftus, followed by a proclamation presentation by Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft. Following these notable remarks, the ceremony commenced with a celebratory whistle moment, officially marking the opening of Henderson Sport & Social.
“We’re excited to officially open Henderson Sport & Social and welcome the Southern Nevada community to experience everything this destination has to offer,” said Henderson Sport & Social General Manager Jeff Swanlund. “From sports and recreation to entertainment and social experiences, our goal is to create a place where people of all ages can come together, connect and make lasting memories for years to come.”
Through the public-private partnership between the City of Henderson and KemperSports, Henderson Sport & Social was created as a dynamic, year-round destination for sports, recreation and entertainment in West Henderson. The opening of Henderson Sport & Social reflects the City of Henderson’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents by expanding access to sports, recreation, entertainment and community engagement.
“We’re excited to see Henderson Sport & Social officially open its doors and become part of our community,” said Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero. “With something for people of all ages, this destination provides a place for our community to come together, have fun and create lasting memories.”
Later that evening, the festivities continued with an exclusive VIP Grand Opening celebrating the community leaders, partners and supporters who helped bring Henderson Sport & Social to life. Guests enjoyed food and cocktails, guided venue tours, interactive experiences and a first look at the new sports, entertainment and social destination.
The celebration continued through the weekend, with the Community Kickoff Celebration, welcoming local residents and families to experience the new destination. The Community Kickoff Celebration featured special appearances, performances, entertainment and opportunities to give back to the community, including a silent auction with proceeds benefiting Cure 4 the Kids Foundation. The weekend highlighted Henderson Sport & Social’s commitment to serving as a gathering place for the Southern Nevada community.
