United Way of Southern Nevada Welcomes David Garcia to Board of Directors

LAS VEGAS (September 2, 2026) – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Garcia, CFP®, CPWA®, Managing Director and Market Team Lead for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Nevada, to its Board of Directors.

A respected leader in financial services, Garcia has nearly 15 years of experience in wealth management, investment banking, commercial lending, and mergers and acquisitions. He brings a strong background in business along with a commitment to community service. Currently, he leads J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Nevada team, assisting individuals, families, and organizations with complex financial decisions using tailored wealth-planning strategies.

Garcia has played an instrumental role in establishing and growing J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s presence in Nevada since joining the organization in 2015. Prior to his current role, his career included positions within major law firms, Credit Suisse and GE Capital, providing him with a diverse background across financial and business disciplines.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Garcia earned both his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees and received his bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University, graduating with honors. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds the CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR® designation.

Garcia’s commitment to service extends beyond his professional achievements. He currently serves as treasurer for Three Square Food Bank and sits on the boards of The Smith Center, the UNLV Foundation and Lighthouse Charities. He is also a mentor with Hope for Prisoners. Earlier in his career, he led a microfinance initiative and helped organize a multi-resource center in Guatemala, and he volunteered for 2 years in El Salvador.
