LAS VEGAS (August 31, 2026) – WHSmith North America, a leading travel retailer with more than 350 stores across airports, rail stations and resorts in North America, announced the fall opening of a new Bonton Farms retail location in Terminal A near Gate A17 at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
The store marks the first location outside of South Dallas for Bonton Farms, the nonprofit organization and community hub known for its mission to disrupt systems of inequity through economic development, workforce training, access to fresh food and neighborhood revitalization.
Developed in partnership with WHSmith North America, the new travel retail concept will offer travelers an opportunity to experience and purchase a curated collection of Bonton Farms signature products, including locally produced honey, handmade jams, goat milk soaps, grab-and-go food items, apparel, gifts and products created by Bontonpreneurs, entrepreneurs participating in the organization’s business development initiatives.
“At WHSmith North America, we are committed to creating meaningful retail experiences that reflect the communities we serve,” said Huw Crwys-Williams, Chief Executive Officer, WHSmith North America. “Bonton Farms is more than a local brand. It is an organization creating lasting impact across Dallas and the wider Metroplex area. We are proud to partner with them to introduce millions of travelers each year to products with a purpose while helping amplify a mission that is transforming lives.”
The opening builds on DFW Airport’s ongoing efforts to showcase local businesses and provide authentic North Texas experiences for travelers. Through the partnership, visitors passing through one of the world’s busiest airports will gain a direct connection to a Dallas organization whose work spans agriculture, workforce development, education, health and wellness, affordable housing, and economic opportunity.
Founded in South Dallas’ Bonton neighborhood, Bonton Farms began with a small beekeeping operation that created jobs and inspired community engagement. Over the years, it expanded into a nonprofit organization that now operates farms, markets, a coffeehouse, a preservatory and a farm-to-table café, while supporting residents through programs designed to increase access to transportation, education, financial tools, community, health and wellness, economic stability, and safe and affordable housing.
“This opening represents an exciting milestone for Bonton Farms and the community we serve,” said Mark Jones, President & CEO of Bonton Farms. “For the first time, our products and our story will reach travelers from around the world. Through this partnership with WHSmith North America, we’re creating new opportunities to share the mission of Bonton Farms while generating additional support for programs that help our neighbors thrive.”
“This store isn’t just retail space, it’s a front door to our mission,” said Kendra Charisse Smith, Director of Operations at Bonton Farms, who oversaw execution of the partnership. “From sourcing and packaging our products to meet the demands of a whole new scale of distribution, every step was about making sure Bonton Farms shows up authentically in one of the busiest airports in the world. This launch reflects the same care and intentionality we put into everything we do in South Dallas. Seeing it come together has been one of the most rewarding projects of my career.”
The store’s design will reflect the character and spirit of Bonton Farms, highlighting the organization’s roots in South Dallas while offering a welcoming space for travelers seeking local products and gifts with a meaningful backstory.
Expected to open this fall, the location will serve as both a retail destination and an introduction to one of Dallas’ most impactful community organizations.
