The Nevada Legislature is nearing the end of its session. What legislative priorities would you like to see addressed in the session's waning weeks?

"It is vital to the future success of all children in Nevada that the legislative priorities remain focused on improving the educational outcomes of our state. United Way of Southern Nevada has established the protocol and model to improve the quality of early education programs offered in licensed day care centers. Our legislative leadership has the opportunity to leverage public-private dollars, invest in quality education initiatives, and increase access to quality programs to ensure (that) our children enter school ready to learn. United Way of Southern Nevada, in collaboration with our elected officials and the business community is proactive in the establishment of sustainable long-term solutions that will benefit everyone."
