Kirvin Doak Communications is looking for public relations interns for the upcoming semester!

Kirvin Doak brings unparalleled experience in developing successful, strategic media relations and promotions campaigns to some of Las Vegas' most successful entities in the fields of travel, hospitality and entertainment. The firm's distinct service has earned the American Gaming Association's Award for Public Affairs Campaign of the Year and PRWeek's Boutique Agency of the Year.
Kirvin Doak interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public relations through a variety of projects and the direction of highly-experienced industry professionals. Ideal applicants are self-motivated, smart, driven and hard-working. A strong intern candidate would have the following qualifications: strong writing and verbal communication skills (good use of grammar and AP style), knowledge of a variety of press materials including releases and alerts, experience using Excel and working with databases, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks, understand social media tools and have a high level of personal integrity, responsibility and dependability. Student would ideally have a public relations, marketing, journalism or related major.
If chosen for an internship, students will be tasked with a variety of PR activities including, but not limited to: clipping and reporting, research and list building, writing, editing, pitching, social media, creative and strategic thinking and assisting with event and promotions. Additionally, interns will be asked to conduct exit interviews with KDC managers to gain feedback on their work as well as learn more about public relations as a career choice.
