PEEPSHOW Celebrates 1,000 Shows!

Congratulations to PEEPSHOW at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The amazing cast marked such an amazing milestone on Monday, February 6, 2012. Already 1,000 shows under their belt and they are still going strong!

I’ve had the pleasure of working on PEEPSHOW for the past 7 months, and it’s such a remarkable accomplishment for a production show, especially in Las Vegas. The show itself is a lot of fun and the amount of talented performers that work in the show are incredible! And it also helps to have Miss Las Vegas herself, Holly Madison headline the show. On the night of the special occasion, the cast celebrated with a champagne toast and a lovely, three-tiered cupcake display provided by Retro Bakery! The cupcakes were delicious and the top cake made of red velvet was designed to replicate Holly’s book in the show’s opener with the words “Happy 1,000 Shows!”

Even Holly tweeted the show’s triumphant success by saying: “I can’t believe it’s been 1,000 shows already! So much fun!!”

Again, CONGRATULATIONS to PEEPSHOW for a fabulous 1,000 performances and here’s to another 1,000!

PEEPSHOW Battles it Out “Bra-Style” in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the PEEPSHOW cast were invited to decorate a bra for Caesars Entertainment’s Battle of the Bras Competition, a month-long initiative where employees and Strip performers from all Caesars properties decorate a bra linking to a breast cancer story. The bras will then be on display and auctioned off at a fashion show to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society! This year, Caesars Entertainment was hoping to raise $10,000. I was so proud and thrilled that PEEPSHOW participated in this wonderful event for such a great cause! Like so many others, I have known many strong and courageous women who have been affected by this life-changing disease, most recently my aunt, which is why this event had such personal meaning to me.

PEEPSHOW was also invited to come in-studio with Caesars Entertainment on MORE on KVVU Fox 5 to discuss the PEEPSHOW bra and their support for breast cancer awareness. Even Holly Madison and Josh Strickland got in on the action and signed the bra! It’s so great and comforting to know that the cast members of one of the Strip’s favorite shows, PEEPSHOW, took the time out of their busy schedules to come together and participate in such an inspiring cause. To top it all off, the PEEPSHOW bra was auctioned off at $230, adding to the grand total of $15,630 Caesars Entertainment helped raise! How amazing and awesome is that?!!

A Silver Lining for Golden Rainbow’s “Ribbon of Life”

Golden Rainbow celebrated 25 years of “Ribbon of Life” on Sunday, June 26 at Paris Las Vegas Hotel. After hearing so many great things about the fundraising production, my expectations were high. However, no recap or friendly review could come close to justifying the amount of talent I witnessed.

“Ribbon of Life” is the only ticket in town that allows the audience to see performers from almost every show on the Strip in one night. Each production is original and can only be seen at Golden Rainbow’s benefit. Las Vegas’ major headlining shows including THE LION KING, Human Nature, PEEPSHOW, Fantasy, Jubilee! and more participated in this year’s show performing musical classics like “Big Spender,” “Defying Gravity,” “Everything I Am,” “Footloose,” “The Color Purple” and more. Talents like Clint Holmes captured the crowd’s hearts with his rendition of “West Side Story,” earning a standing ovation and George Wallace’s quirky humor gave the show a refreshing comedic spin. Even the little ones got in on the action, charming “Ribbon of Life” attendees with a cute superhero number. In addition, PEEPSHOW headliner and co-star of E!’s “Holly’s World” Josh Strickland stunned the theatre with an emotional performance of Tarzan’s “Everything I Am.”

All participating performers donated their time to Golden Rainbow’s cause and 100 percent of ticket sales will directly benefit southern Nevadans affected by HIV/AIDS. Despite the looming cliché of tough economic times, “Ribbon of Life” drew a record-setting crowd with 1,158 people in attendance and raised more than $151,000, surpassing the previous year’s goal by $20,000.

Following the spectacular, show attendees enjoyed an after-party at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens and celebrated with a silent auction, music, cocktails and a cake designed by Freed’s Bakery of Las Vegas.

Congratulations to Golden Rainbow on 25 “Ribbon of Life” spectaculars and 25 years of service to the Las Vegas community. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for next year!

Holly Madison Rings in Valentine’s Day at Tryst Nightclub

This weekend Holly Madison hosted a special Valentine’s Day affair at Tryst Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas. Walking the carpet in a red party dress with gold shimmer accents and red peep toe heels, she was joined by her two best friends and Holly’s World co-stars, Josh Strickland and Angel Porrino for the special soiree. 

After working for years on nightlife red carpets, I can tell you that Holly Madison is a publicist’s dream. Not only is she stunningly beautiful, but she knows exactly what the media needs and she offers it without question. She is one of the most thoughtful on the red carpet, making sure every photographer has multiple shots that will work for their outlets, and she offers up something fresh and unique to each interview request.

Now transitioning into broadcast herself, Holly glowed when she discussed her new correspondent position with Extra, saying its always been a dream to get more involved in journalism. To show off her new skills, she even took over one on-camera interview to grill Josh on his ideal relationship.

Once inside, the PEEPSHOW entourage was seated at the best table in the club, directly on the dance floor looking out on the venue’s gorgeous 90 ft waterfall. Holly wasted no time to get the party started, as she jumped up on top of their banquette, dancing with her bffs, waving and posing for fans’  photo requests from below. She was overjoyed to see the staff were all dressed in her honor, donning tube socks, short shorts, I Love Holly t-shirts, and even her signature candy necklaces from Sugar Factory. She tweeted a photo out to her followers saying, “The cocktail girls at Tryst are all in Holly costumes!! So cute!”

The staff presented Holly with an immaculate Valentine’s Day cake, a three tier creation by Freed’s Bakery in Las Vegas. Each layer was a giant stacked candy heart, with oversized Valentine’s Day candy and cherries topping it. Aftertaking photos, Holly stuck her finger in it to lick the frosting and once Josh and Angel realized the cake was real,they ripped out a middle section to take a bite of the holiday delight.

 

It was such a fun evening, and if you had to celebrate Valentine’s Day single, spending it with Holly Madison & company was a pretty good way to go.
